Amish Country Happenings is a FREE on-line newsletter that  has been published for over 5 years..

There needs to be a way to keep people informed about what was going on in Ohio Amish Country.

Sure you can pick up a newspaper or brochure when you are here, but what about knowing what is going on, where to stay, where to eat, etc. before you get here?  We looked around and couldn't find anyone doing it, so we decided to give it a whirl.

During the summer time when it is busiest, the newsletter is published the 1st and the 15th of the month.  Things slow down after Christmas, so January through March it comes out just on the 1st of the month.

Amish Country Chit Chat keeps you up-to-date on the local happenings and special events, also places to eat and shop, places to stay, etc.  We usually include a recipe out of one of my Amish Cook Books, plus anything else I think you might be interested in.

As a gift for subscribing you'll get a free report, "12 Things You Really Oughta Know Before Going to Ohio Amish Country".
You'd be surprised how much it helps to know these things before you get here.   And even if you have been here before, there might be a couple things you never thought about.

Below are what a few of my subscribers have to say about Amish Country Happenings:

SIGNING UP FOR AMISH COUNTRY
CHIT CHAT IS EASY!

You can sign up for Amish Country Happenings by clicking here.

That will bring up an email form with "Subscribe Chit Chat" already in the subject line.  All you do is hit SEND and it goes to a neat little thing called an "autoresponder".

You will get a message back to your email address asking you  to VERIFY that you want to be on this mailing list. In order to do this you have to click on a link in the email. You're done!

I have just learned that if YOU can't click on the verification link, that if you forward that message to me, and I click on it, IT WORKS.  So if you can't do it, send it to me and I will try.  If that doesn't work, you may have to follow the whitelisting directions below......Sorry I can't help it! Those spammers have ruined it for everyone!

SPAM BLOCKER ON YOUR ACCOUNT?

If you have asked to receive the newletter, and haven't, your ISP has probably blocked it or put it in your junk folder.

Here is a website where you can find directions on how to "white list" emails you want to receive.

http://www.notbadmail.com/Info/Whitelist.html

Put Amish Country Happenings on your white-list, then come back here and sign up again!!

If you change your mind or just don't like Amish Country Happenings, you can take yourself off the list by following the directions in the newsletter or email notice, or simply send me an email.

I received my first copy of Amish Country Chit Chat and it is wonderful.  I have such an interest in their culture.  My husband and I get to the Lancaster PA area twice a year.

We will definitely be taking a trip out to Ohio this summer.
I am looking forward to your next issue.

Thank you for you efforts in letting us know what is happening in Ohio amish country.  Sincerely, SF

Hi!
Just want to tell you the news is great to receive.  It's very informative and a great source of help if you are looking for another place of interest to see etc.  We have been coming to Holmes Co. for 3 yrs. now and there is always a new place to visit or something we hadn't seen in the past trip. I love all the news you write about, especially if it's been one of the places we have already visited.  It's also a nice web site to log on to when you want to catch up on the latest news of Holmes County. I know alot of time and work go into putting something like this together. I appreciate all you do to give us these few pleasurable moments to go back in time and learn about the life & cultures of the Amish & Mennonite peoples.   Thank you. Arlene G
